Partners

The Coordinator and project manager of DIVAGRI and the work of its 21 Consortium partners is the Wismar University of Applied Sciences (HSW) in Germany, who is closely affiliated with its independent institute, Institute for Polymertechnology (IPT) that has developed and tested one of the DIVAGRI solutions. The lead scientific manager, and technology developer, is from alchemia-nova GmbH, Austria (ALCN).

The leading partners from Africa are universities from South Africa (Stellenbosch University (SUN)), Namibia (Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST)), Botswana (Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN)), Mozambique (Instituto Superior Politecnico de Manica (ISPM)) and from Ghana (University of Cape Coast (UCC)), collaborating nationally and internationally with agricultural research institutes from South Africa (Agricultural Research Council (ARC)), Botswana (National Agricultural Research and Development Institute (NARDI)) and Ghana (CSIR-Crops Research Institute (CSIR-CRI)). Two further direct partners from Africa are the government subsidiary entity in Mozambique in the Center for Research and Technology Transfer to Communities (CITT), and the private sector farm in Ghana (Lake Agege Farm (LAF)).

 Additional research partners from Europe that will provide technical expertise and knowledge to the African partners include agronomy and hydrology researchers from the Fruit Growing Institute Plovdiv, Bulgaria (FGI) and the University St. Cyril & Methodius Skopje, North Macedonia (UKIM), food production and education specialists from Fachhochschule Joanneum, Austria (FHJ) as well as chemistry, bio-chemistry and industry partner the Association of Navara Industry, Spain (AIN).

In addition to the partner ALCN, the Consortium partner SMEs involved in the research and planned exploitation of the innovations are G&G Extrusionstechnik GmbH (G&G) based in Germany, and Namibia Rotomold (PTY) Ltd (NMR) based in Namibia. Lastly, DIVAGRI comprises two direct partners that are Civil Society Organisations, from İstanbul Avrupa Araştırmaları Derneği, Turkey (IAAD).
